Susan Cianciolo and Cone Denim

Susan Cianciolo and Cone Denim unveiled “The Woman of the Crowd,” a multi-media art exhibition, on the finale evening of Los Angeles Fashion Week on Oct. 20 at the Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibition Gallery (LACE) in Hollywood. The openingnight party included a music performance by the band No Age and live modeling of Cianciolo’s one-of-a-kind denim collection. The surrealist exhibit featured Cianciolo’s design inspiration, an architectural wood structure, a deacute;cor of denim cushions and rugs and a video developed for the Los Angeles event. New York–based Cianciolo collaborated with the Greensboro, N.C.–based denim mill to create denim looks made from 100-yearold fabric remnants and hand-dyed greige goods. Models showcased the deconstructed denim and T-shirt collection with handcrafted finishing throughout the evening. The multimedia exhibit was sponsored by Woodbury University’s Center for Community Research and Design. It can be viewed at the LACE Gallery on Hollywood Boulevard through Nov. 3.
