Promoting Business in the Middle East

A group of U.S. ambassadors and commercial attacheacute;s assigned to the Middle East will be in downtown Los Angeles on Oct. 10 to discuss business opportunities in that region.

The event, organized by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the District Export Council, will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel at 711 S. Hope St. It will be a day of speeches, roundtables and one-on-one interviews with U.S. ambassadors serving in Algeria, Bahrain, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The morning’s keynote speech will be delivered by Keith Reinhard, chairman emeritus of advertising agency DDB Worldwide and president of Business for Diplomatic Action. The keynote luncheon speech will be given by Michael Ducker, president of FedEx Express International.
