L.A. Fashion Week Spring '07: Fashion Business Inc.
Fashion Business Inc. hosted a Spring 2007 preview at the Tiara Cafeacute; in downtown Los Angeles on Oct. 20 during Los Angeles Fashion Week. The event is the first of a series of presentations the FBI hopes to make on the first day of each market week. Local designer and “Project Runway” season-two alum Andrae Gonzalo hosted the preview, which featured Liquid Mountain, Dick & Jayne Los Angeles, Vanitas of California, Pink Polka Dot, Murielle and 7 Diamonds.
Liquid Mountain showed bikinis and boardshorts for surfers and beach bunnies. Dick & Jayne showed updated styles, including printed-cotton wrap dresses and cropped wide-leg pants. Vanitas dove deeply into prints, showing strapless dresses, kimono mini dresses and baby-doll dresses in flora and fauna themes. Pink Polka Dot offered plenty of girly dresses in feminine colors for Spring. Murielle showed lightweight knits in cocoon, jumper and slip shapes. 7 Diamonds offered guys casual luxe embroidered woven tops and elegantly tattered velvet blazers. —Erin Barajas
