Perry Ellis Gets Nano-Tex
Fabric treatments continue to gain favor with menswear brands for their stain- and water-resistant qualities.
Perr y Ellis International licensee Hartmarx is the latest to jump onboard, having inked a pact with Emeryville, Calif.–based Nano-Tex LLC to use its Resist Spills brand, which repels water and stains, for its Fall line of men’s suits and separates.
The treatment is designed to provide stain repellency and durability to protect fabrics from everyday spills and stains without compromising a garment’s physical characteristics.
Renee DeLack Hultin, executive vice president of global sales, said company research had indicated that function was becoming a more important factor for men while shopping for suits.
