New York Fashion Week: Rock & Republic

Rock & Republic took its tale of reinvention east to New York for Olympus Fashion Week. On Sept. 9, the Culver City, Calif.–based clothing label produced a 56-look show where it exhibited its new look as a luxury lifestyle brand, along with the premium denim it has offered since launching as a jeans-based collection.

Prominently featured on the New York runway was Rock & Republic Tailor Made, the label’s luxury line. It launched for Fall 2006 with a look that combined rock ’n’ roll sass with English countryside, with tweeds and leather prominently featured. The New York show featured Tailor Made’s Spring 2007 women’s collection, which included pieces such as logo blazers and tailored shirtdresses.

The rest of the Rock & Republic line seemed to offer something for every taste. There were black silk dresses, studded tank tops, white button-down shirts, military-style jackets, mini–trench coats, short shorts, and the label’s accessory lines of handbags, shoes and eyewear.
