Attorneys Join Sheppard Mullin Fashion Team

Attorneys Theodore C. Max and Charles A. LeGrand have joined Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP’s new fashion apparel division.

Both attorneys will be based in the law firm’s New York office. Max was named a partner, and LeGrand will serve as special counsel. Both attorneys previously practiced with Mintz Levin P.C. in New York, where they specialized in intellectual-property litigation and transactional and licensing cases, representing the likes of Louis Vuitton Malletier, Emilio Pucci, Celine, Marc Jacobs, Kooba, Hollywould, LeTigre, Tarina Tarantino and others.

Sheppard Mullin recently established a fashion apparel division in Los Angeles and New York to handle its growing caseload of work relating to fashion companies.

“Ted will play a key role in the expansion of our fashion industry capabilities, bringing an international who’s who of clients, which rivals our current list of global fashion designers and apparel corporations,” said Bob Darwell, chair of the firm’s entertainment, media and communications and fashion apparel groups in Los Angeles.
