PAD System Relocates

Montreal-based CAD provider PAD System Technologies has relocated its U.S. headquarters to suite A718 of the California Market Center in Los Angeles. The company was previously located on the 11th floor of the same building. PAD officials said the move was made to gain more visibility in the CMC, which houses several hundred apparel lines.

PAD also promoted sales representative Nancy Escobedo to U.S. sales manager. In her new role, Escobedo will assist Vice President Kristine Gloviak with U.S. and Latin American sales of PAD products, which include Master Pattern Design and Haute Couture 3-D. Gloviak will be devoting more time to software implementations.

PAD develops and markets pattern-making and other design software for the apparel and textile industries. The company will roll out version 5.0 of its master pattern-design system this summer. Changes include compatibility with previous versions going back to 4.0; a new universal driver for generic plotters; new palette displays; a new grading information palette; a new technical sketch palette; intelligent scale functions; updated sectional automatic markers; and plaid, stripes, fold and tubular auto markers.
