Lawson Launches Small-Scale ERP

Minneapolis-based Lawson Software has released QuickStep Fashion, an industry-specific, lower-cost, pre-configured ERP (enterprise resource planning) application for the apparel, footwear and home-furnishings market.

The product makes key information visible across an organization by eliminating islands of information that frequently occur during the manufacturing and distribution process.

QuickStep is designed for companies that plan a mix of style-based (e.g., style, color and size) and non-style products across complex global supply chains. It is designed to meet customer demands for short-delivery lead times and on-time delivery as well as manage inventory levels, tracking financials through the supply chain.

The application is powered by Lawson’s M3 enterprise management suite. About 70 percent to 90 percent of the key processes are pre-configured, so implementation is faster, said Lawson executives.

Companies that have purchased the system include Portland, Ore.–based Keen Footwear.
