Fergie & Candie's
Single-named pop star Fergie, a singer with the Black Eyed Peas, has struck a deal with New York–based Iconix and Menomonee Falls, Wis.–based Kohl’s Department Stores to promote Candie’s brand apparel.(Iconix, owners of the Candie’s brand, struck an exclusive licensing deal with Kohl’s in 2005.) Candie’s has signed on as the exclusive fashion sponsor of Fergie’s 20-city Verizon VIP tour, which runs through the end of July. Tickets will be given away at in-store events at Kohl’s and Verizon Wireless stores. Each concert will also feature a Candie’s fashion show. In addition, Fergie will appear in Candie’s television, print and online advertising campaigns, and the singer wears Candie’s apparel in her “Big Girls Don’t Cry” music video. Excerpts from the video appear in the Candie’s TV ad.
