Alternative Tees Star in Kids' Benefit

T-shirt maker Alternative joined the festivities at the 2007 “A Time for Heroes” family carnival to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation on June 10 in Los Angeles.

The fund-raiser featured carnival-style booths and a star-studded crowd at the Wadsworth Theater in West Los Angeles.

At the “Project Alternative” booth, kids stretched their creative muscles by custom designing Alternative T-shirts. The junior designers then styled their looks with Alternative headwear, boas, sunglasses, costume jewelry and other props and had a chance to show off their tees on a runway in front of a celebrity-filled crowd and a team of “Polaroid paparazzi” who captured the custom looks. Among the celebrity “Heroes” helping out in the booth were actors Carmen Electra, T.R. Knight, Chris Kattan and Joely Fisher.

Alternative was the official apparel partner for “A Time for Heroes,” and the event’s commemorative T-shirts and hats were donated by the T-shirt maker.
