Brazilian Brand Opens, U.S. Headquarters
Twenty years after debuting in Brazil, contemporary apparel and footwear brand Colcci is entering the American market. American buyers got their first glimpse of the line at the Project Global Trade Show in Las Vegas in February and at Trafik in Miami. To cement its presence and support its Fall 2007 rollout, Colcci has established its U.S. headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif.
“Southern California is the ideal location for Colcci to open its doors in the U.S., as it captures the effortlessly cool and fun vibe for which the brand is known,” said Roberta Cysne, the brand’s managing director, in a statement.
The brand, which is sold internationally in more than 1,000 stores, offers menswear and womenswear.—Erin Barajas
