West Coast Execs Named to AAFA Board

Two West Coast executives were named to key posts for the Arlington, Va.–based American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA).

Killick Datta, chief executive officer of Santa Barbara, Calif.–based footwear company Global Brands Marketing Inc., was named treasurer, and Joel Feldman, president of operations for Byer California, was named to the board of directors for the trade organization.

Other new officers include Chairman Peter Gabbe of Carole Hochman Design Group and George Derhofer of VF Corp.

Additional new board members are Rick Darling, president of Li & Fung USA; John Higdon, president and chief executive officer of Capital Mercury Apparel Ltd.; and Michael Mansh, president of Pennsylvania Apparel LLC.

The AAFA is the footwear and apparel industry’s voice in Washington, D.C., on trade issues and other legislation. The organization also stages trade shows such as the upcoming Material World/SPESA as well as educational events.
