L.A. Fashion Week Fall '07: Suh-Tahn

Los Angeles—based designers Shannon Nataf and Dimitri Tcharfas debuted their fledgling men’s and women’s contemporary brand, Suh Tahn, March 16 at Kitten Fashion Week at The Standard Downtown. Modern, futuristic and clean, the line also had a healthy dose of unique touches. Built-in leather belts cinched voluminous knits and played peek-a-boo, often visible only from the front or the back of a garment. Soft leather jackets featured a metallic wash, capes, layers of knit trim and shortened sleeves. For men, there were slim pants and hoodies with built-in harnesses and layered sleeves.

Standout pieces included a belted and hooded floor-length scarf, a zip-front cocoon dress and convertible tank dresses that could be doubled up into tank tops and leather unisex holsters. —Erin Barajas
