Lectra Launches Education Initiative

Lectra has launched an education initiative to create a better-skilled work force by teaming up with fashion colleges around the world and giving them easier access to the company’s technology offerings, which include design and product-development software and machinery.

The program is offered on various levels, from royalty-free use of Lectra software licenses to internship support and career planning and other feedback and exchange channels that allow students in some cases to work directly with industry professionals.

Partnerships have already been finalized with Central Michigan University in the United States; The Royal College of Art, De Montfort University and Manchester University in the United Kingdom; the Instituto Carlo Secoli and Universitagrave; di Urbino in Italy; and Donghua University in China.
