West Coast Menswear Show at LAX

The second West Coast Trends Show, highlighting upscale menswear lines, will take place Aug. 3–4 at the Embassy Suites LAX in Los Angeles.

Lines expected to be shown include Agave Denim, Robert Graham, Ermenegildo Zegna, Jack Victor Ltd., Scott Barber, Island Soft by Tommy Bahama, Continental Leather, Haupt of Germany and others.

Show producer Ken Haruta said this edition will be about 40 percent larger, taking up two full floors at the Embassy Suites. The show takes over the dates formerly occupied by the West Coast Exclusive show, which now operates in Las Vegas as the MRket show at The Venetian hotel.

“With the economy the way it is, the regional shows will become more important. Many people are avoiding going to New York because of the increase in airline and hotel rates. This makes our show that much more attractive,” Haruta said.

Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 4. A bowling night, open to all buyers and reps, will be held from 7:15 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the El Dorado Lanes in Westchester, Calif. A buffet dinner will be served.
