Los Angeles International Textile Show Sets Dates

The California Market Center, which has organized the semiannual Los Angeles International Textile Show since 1993, said it has dates established for the show through 2011.

However, Deborah Levine, a CMC spokesperson, said the center wasn’t ready to release those exact dates yet. The next show is scheduled for Oct. 27–29, 2008.

“We are especially pleased with the show’s growth over the past few years,” said Joanne Lee, senior vice president of CMC Services, in a statement. “The CMC is looking forward to a number of exciting expansions during the upcoming October 2008 show as well as to continued development in the future.”

Next year, two trade-show organizers will also be holding new textile shows in Los Angeles. Urban Expositions, located outside Atlanta, will hold Material World West Sept. 30–Oct. 2, 2009, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Also, the Dallas Market Center is gearing up to hold twice-a-year textile shows, called GlobalTex, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The first GlobalTex show will take place April 21–23, 2009. —Deborah Belgum
