A Lot of Tommy

Tommy Hilfiger Group will open a four-floor, 22,000-square-foot flagship store in New York on Fifth Avenue—between 53rd and 54th streets—in November. The space previously housed a Fortunoff store, which occupied the site since the late 1970s. The store will showcase every product category under the Tommy Hilfiger–brand umbrella, including the runway collection, menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, tailored apparel, footwear, accessories, home deacute;cor and the Hilfiger Denim collection. “We have established an important retail presence throughout the world in cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Moscow, Shanghai and Satilde;o Paulo,” said Fred Gehring, chief executive officer of the Tommy Hilfiger Group. “Yet we were missing a real global anchor in New York City, the home of our brand, for quite some time.”
