Shopping Event Features Indie Designers

Unique Los Angeles—a home accessories, design, gift and fashion shopping event featuring independent local designers—will debut Dec. 13–14 in the penthouse of the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles.

A buffet of local designers will offer clothing, accessories, paper goods, furnishings, baby products, art, bath and body products, and gourmet foods. Half of the $5 admission price to attend the event will be donated toward the nonprofit Create Now, which offers creative-arts mentoring to high-risk and at-risk youth in Los Angeles, according to Sonja Rasula, organizer of Unique Los Angeles.

Rasula comes from a background of interior design and production. Her interior design work has been shown on HGTV and “Trading Spaces” on TLC. Rasula parlays her design expertise to ensure that quality independent and local talent is featured in Unique Los Angeles. In partnership with Pooltradeshow, select vendors of Pooltradeshow will participate in the Unique Los Angeles consumer event. Confirmed participants include the Gen Art alum clothing line Unhee, Detroit Sprinkles clothing, Suburban Riot clothing, Tracey Tanner accessories, Tucker Paisley handbags, Rock Scissor Paper paper goods and Humble Collection home accessories.
