The North Face of Solar
Outdoor- and athletic-apparel maker The North Face completed installation of a solar-electricity system at its West Coast distribution center, located in Visalia, Calif. The new system, engineered and installed by Suntech Energy Solutions, will provide 25 percent to 30 percent of the energy for the facility. The system is owned and operated by Recurrent Energy, which has a Power Purchase Agreement with The North Face. A division of VF Outdoor Inc., The North Face was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in San Leandro, Calif.
