Jerry Leigh Automates Sourcing, Production

Van Nuys, Calif.–based manufacturer Jerry Leigh is in the process of automating its sourcing and production operations with new software provided by Miami Lakes, Fla.–based NGC Software.

The company manufactures clothing under a long slate of licensed labels, such as Harajuku Lovers and High School Musical, for retailers in more than four categories, including kids, adults, Resort and premium.

Jerry Leigh is implementing the e-SPS Web-based system to help improve speed-to-market, product quality and customer service. E-SPS employs executive dashboards, role-based calendars and exception-management indicators to smooth out any problems that may occur in the company’s extensive supply chain.

Users, via the Internet, can exchange and update information on specific styles, defined events or purchase orders 24/7.

“It will be invaluable for ensuring that Jerry Leigh continues to meet the increasing demand for rapid turnaround and faster time to market,” said Jerry Leigh Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Silver. “When our customers are developing new brand concepts and promotion, we have to be able to turn licensed products very quickly at our manufacturing operations in Asia and Central America. We needed a solution to help us streamline production and improve communications with customers and trading partners around the world. E-SPS was the right answer for us.”
