Soft knits and silky garments are what define the Tt Collection, first launched for Spring ’07.

Now it has its own corporate showroom, recently opened on the third floor of the hip Cooper Design Space.

Tiffany Saidnia, the designer and owner of the label, has taken a modest 800-square-foot space and made it into a sleek showroom decorated in black and white. Even the opulent chandelier, hanging near the large-paned window, comes in black to match the black sofa, the black-and-white–striped settee, a black-and-white oversized armchair and the black lacquer Chinese buffet.

“We wanted the clothes to stand out,” said Saidnia, explaining the contrasting showroom tones.

“It’s simple but very edgy,” added Jennifer Chizmadia, the company’s sales manager.

Tt Collection started out as a luxury basic knit line with soft-as-butter knit tops that can be worn with a casual pair of jeans or dressed up for evening. Its signature is its triple-binding detail. Wholesale prices range from $24 to $42. “It is a little more finished and polished,” Saidnia explained.

Then, the line added a selection of fleece that could also work as comfortable daywear. It is double-sided, with Supima cotton inside and Tencel outside, for a soft feel that wholesales for $68 to $94.

Later came a line of silk dresses, blouses and skirts that wholesale for $54 to $140. For this season, the designer has added layered tops with a camisole on the inside and a variety of tops on the outside that wholesale for $54 to $72. This double-up concept is for the woman who doesn’t have a lot of time to mix and match her wardrobe.

Also new to the line is something called Tt Mates, a collection of camisoles, shirts and leggings that wholesale for $22 to $24 and come individually boxed. They are worn under diaphanous clothing that needs a bit of discretion. —Deborah Belgum
