The Industry to Look Ahead at CFA/AAFA Event

The economy and its impact on the apparel industry—including the future of retailing, transportation and international trade—will be on the agenda at an Oct. 21 panel discussion hosted by the California Fashion Association and the American Apparel & Footwear Association.

Titled “Eyeing the Crystal Ball,” the event will feature several speakers, including Dr. Eugenio J. Aleman, vice president and senior economist for Wells Fargo & Co., who will deliver the keynote address. Marshal Cohen, chief industry analyst for The NPD Group, will present a section titled “The Future of Retail: Navigating the Next Retail Frontier.”

Kevin Sullivan, executive vice president of Wells Fargo Trade Capital, will moderate a panel of industry experts including Stuart Brister, president of Wells Fargo Trade Capital; Scott Bunker, vice president of FedEx, western region; and Richard Andersonof Moss Adams Capital.

Wells Fargo Trade Capital and FedEx are sponsors of the event, which is free for apparel-industry professionals and invited guests. California Apparel News is the media sponsor for the event.

The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the City Club in downtown Los Angeles.
