Fashion e-commerce site HotterThanHollywood.com recently launched The Magazine, an online news magazine complete with blog entries and video clips about the goings on in Los Angeles fashion.
The online magazine follows Hotter Than Hollywood owner Mary Helen Shashy as she interviews celebrities, industry insiders and people on the street. Shashy was inspired to start The Magazine to share her experiences in the fashion industry.
“I’ve always had a close relationship with our designers and had a very loyal clientele,” Shashy said. “They love my stories about the industry and about living out here in L.A.”
Shashy, who was an indie filmmaker before becoming a retailer, and her partner Michael Misetich shoot, edit and put together all of the online videos in house.
Shashy describes the stories on The Magazine as a fun and educational insight into the fashion industry. Recent entries include interviews with budding fashionistas on the streets of Melrose and Santa Monica, an interview with Designers and Agents co-founder Barbara Kramer at the recent Los Angeles Fashion Market and the designers behind One Life 2 Live and Soul Revival.
If viewers are interested in the fashions worn by Shashy—such as a leopard print dress by Soul Revival—The Magazine provides links back to the Hotter Than Hollywood e-tail site.
