Los Angeles designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte and Scott Sternberg of Band of Outsiders and Boy are among the nominees for this year’s Council of Fashion Designers of America award. The Mulleavy sisters are up for womenswear designer of the year, and Sternberg is up for menswear designer of the year. The June awards ceremony will also include a tribute award given to first lady Michelle Obama.
