New Resources Guide: Beautiful Fuuml;l
Launching for Fall 2009, the Beautiful Fuuml;l line of menswear brings sophisticated East Coast details to laid-back West Coast styles. Founded by brothers Alejandro and Andres Rodriguez, the collection is equal parts classic Americana and contemporary style. “At the end of the day, I want a man to feel comfortable but still dress nice, not go too far out of the box,” said Andres Rodriquez, who handles the line’s sales and branding. “We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel.” Alejandro Rodriguez, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, focuses on updating classic silhouettes with unique fabrications and crisp tailoring. A somber cashmere bomber jacket is offset by gold zippers, and a Japanese fleece pullover is adorned with large black Italian leather buttons.
Targeting men ages 20 to 40-something, Beautiful Fuuml;l is heavy on outerwear and shirting for Fall. A wool double-breasted tartan plaid coat and a Japanese wool bomber jacket featuring Italian leather detailing are cool but not ostentatious.
