New Resources Guide: Luxury Loves Company

Dianne Rosenstein’s new fashion brand, Luxury Loves Company, is finding an audience with its balance of luxury and radical chic. Just a couple of months after its launch, the line landed in top fashion boutique Kitson.

Working out of her living room in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon area, Rosenstein crafts radical statements by using shocking graphics on pieces such as the “Double Patty,” a shirt dress with bondage-style straps that bears an Andy Warhol–esque depiction of kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst toting a gun. For luxury, she uses soft Turkish cotton and organic cotton produced by fair-trade manufacturers to construct her T-shirts, hoodies and shirt dresses.

Rosenstein, formerly an interior designer and a gallery owner, said the graphics are not meant to glorify violence but, rather, to capture a moment in time. For her most recent collection, debuted at the February Project Global Trade Shows in Las Vegas, her T-shirt graphics depict daisies and irises. She said she hopes LLC will ultimately do more than start conversations. “I’m out there to make a brand,” she said. “I want this to be as good as it can be.”—Andrew Asch
