Cutdrop.com Sets Up Shop for Charity

Online pop-up shop Cutdrop.com is hosting weekly sales featuring contemporary designers and will donate a portion of the profits to a charity of the brands' choice.

The sales kicked off Oct. 19 with up-and-coming L.A. brand Seneca Rising, which will be one of the designers on the runway at Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion at Rock Fashion Week Los Angeles on Oct. 29. Some of the proceeds from Seneca Rising sales went to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

“When I came up with the idea for the store's business model, it only made sense for me to rally up my friends' companies to get involved,” said co-owner Neil Jackson.

Upcoming sales will feature West Coast labels House of Cassette, Grey Ant and Society for Rational Dress.

Cutdrop.com is a digital offshoot of Jackson's New York fashion industry events known as Taco Tuesday, in which employees from fashion and media companies guest tend bar for charities.
