Back to the Bargaining Table for Boss

Hugo Boss is reconsidering the closure of its Cleveland, Ohio, plant, which manufactures apparel, after a publicity campaign championed by actor Danny Glover. In the days leading up to last month’s Academy Awards, Glover urged fellow actors to boycott Hugo Boss apparel in support of the 400 workers at the Cleveland plant, who would lose their jobs if Hugo Boss follows through with its plans to move production overseas. The National Labor Relations Board threatened to file a formal complaint against Hugo Boss after investigating charges levied by apparel union Workers United, according to the union, which said it has been contacted by Hugo Boss to resume negotiations.
