BillMyParents Inks Deal With Drydek
Pro skateboarder and reality-show star Rob Drydek has signed on as a spokesperson for BillMyParents, the online payment system for teens created by San Diego–based Socialwise Inc. Drydek is the star of the MTV reality show “Fantasy Factory.” BillMyParents allows teens to purchase goods online using a variety of methods. The company’s Supervised Shopping program allows teens to shop online using a BillMyParents payment button, available on the company’s partner sites. Parents are notified via e-mail or text and have the ability to approve or deny any purchase or set spending limits on the account. The company also recently began offering a BillMyParents reloadable prepaid MasterCard.
