BlueCherry in Spotlight at SPESA

Computer Generated Solutions will highlight its updated BlueCherry software at the upcoming Sewn Products Equipment and Suppliers of the Americas Expo (SPESA) in Atlanta May 18–20. BlueCherry Infinity, a redesigned version of the original BlueCherry software, will make its trade show debut at the event.

Infinity allows each user to customize a portal, or opening page, to focus on upcoming tasks specific to the user. For example, a customized desktop could feature a to-do list, memos, notes, recent history and most-often-used reports. Other applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, can also be accessed from the desktop, and everything is “threaded” to allow the user to run multiple applications at the same time.

The software includes enterprise resource planning (ERP), product lifecycle management (PLM), supply chain management, shop-floor control, warehouse management and e-commerce; sales force automation; business intelligence; and electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities in a single, integrated solution, the company said in a statement. CGS will also showcase its Leadtec shop floor–control solution. The system is designed to help manufacturers improve productivity, automate payroll calculation, control work-in-process inventory, increase individual operator performance and enhance management visibility in shop-floor operations. The advanced manufacturing management software enables plant managers, supervisors, engineers, production planners, and office and support staff to stay on top of all operations, track job status and costs, and react quickly to changing shop-floor conditions, the company said.—Erin Barajas
