Help for Haiti Apparel Center
On Aug. 11, a new training center opened in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where more than 2,000 workers will be trained each year. The Haiti Apparel Center is part of a four-year $104.8 million project by USAID. Located in the Sonapi industrial section, the center will train sewing-machine operators, mechanics and quality-control supervisors and will offer executive seminars for managers and owners.
