Smart Sketchbook

It’s probably the most artificially-intelligent, super-smart a notebook can get without a battery. The Fashionary sketchbook is both a blank-paper sketchpad and a reference guide full of technical garmento definitions and construction details.

Designers get to hold onto that romantic experience of hand-sketching in a notebook at the neighborhood coffee shop and be technically on point down to the seams and stitch specifications as if using a CAD program.

There is a men’s and women’s version, both of which have body-figure charts, measurement tools, a fabric dictionary, and color and printing terminology. The garment product info is where it becomes gender-specific. For example, the women’s has a lingerie section and the men’s has a section of different kinds of back yokes and side vents for woven shirts.

Fashionary has illustrations of the standard pieces (types of men's coats) and then does a microscopic zoom in on the details (collars, yokes, vents, pockets). Short of ghost-designing the actual clothing for you, all the pieces are there.
