Shopping for Good at Divine Design

Divine Design, the fashion and home deacute;cor fund-raiser for Project Angel Food, kicked off its six-day event on Dec. 1 with a swank opening-night gala at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, followed by an evening of shopping, celebrity spotting (oh, hello, Brandy!) and tasty desserts (oh, hello, gourmet cheesecake on a stick!).

Kelly Osbourne, looking svelte and adorable, received the well-deserved “Woman of Style” award, and interior designers Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams received the “Interior Design Pioneer” award. Stylist Brad Goreski introduced the “Corporate Humanitarian Award” recipient, Brooks Brothers, which presented a runway show of its Thom Browne–designed Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers collection.

Project Angel Food Chief Executive Officer Margaret Steele presided over a live auction for fantasy trips to New York, Paris and the Grammy Awards, as well as donations for Valentine’s Day treats and everyday meals for Project Angel Food’s clients. Guests generously opened their hearts—and wallets—to help Project Angel Food continue to deliver daily meals to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

The crowd then headed over to the sale, located in the former Robinsons-May building—and packed with fashion, accessories, home deacute;cor and gifts.

The sale runs through Dec. 6, and day passes for $25 are still available. For more information, visit the Divine Design website (www.divinedesign.org).—Alison A. Nieder
