Lucy Debuts Powermax Collection

Portland, Ore.–based activewear brand Lucy introduced a new collection featuring a high-compression fabric engineered to assist in a woman’s workout regimen.

The company’s Perfect Core Collection features “ultra-compressive” Powermax fabric and xBAR technology, which Lucy says will “enhance core awareness and encourage body alignment.”

A system of strategically placed panels made from Powermax power mesh help align the body and support the abdominal core.

The collection was born out of the company’s Lucypro team of certified fitness instructors, who asked for apparel with additional core support.

“We wanted to offer women the support they need to perfect alignment during practice,” said Kira Karmazin, vice president of merchandising and marketing for Lucy. “The Perfect Core collection helps bring awareness to the core, improving overall posture.”

The collection features three styles. The “Perfect Core Pant” and the “Perfect Core Knee Pant” have power mesh panels along the abdominals and lower back. The “Perfect Core Racerback” top has a shelf bra and front power mesh panels.

Pilates instructor Suzanne Bowen, who created the “10 Minute Solution: Pilates Perfect Body” workout regimen, was one of the first to test the Perfect Core collection and is featured in the launch campaign.
