Addison + Crescent

Addison + Crescent founders Jessica Kruse and Drea Patino gave Hollywood a fair shot, but it just didn’t work out.

The showroom—which represents contemporary and young designer brands such as Kain Label, Lori Leavitt, Odilon and Friend of Mine—proved to be too out of the way for many buyers to visit. “Local stores would come, but we felt there were many stores that we were missing by being in Hollywood,” Kruse said. “We decided it was time to move to the Cooper.” On Feb. 1, Addison + Crescent will occupy The Ranch’s former spot, just across the hall from the Findings showroom. For this upcoming market, Addison + Crescent will share the space.

“Our brands are happy because they know business will definitely increase because we’ll see 10 times the number of stores [than before],” Kruse said. The partners are confident the showroom, which will occupy a 900-square-foot space at the Cooper Design Space, will see an uptick in traffic and, more importantly, give them an edge in attracting new business. Other labels carried by Addison + Crescent are CZ Falconer, acb, Leila Shams, Linus, Simone, Bird Handbags and Leigh & Luca.

“Our mix of designers and categories is great. We work with many of the A-list stores, but there are so many of the smaller, unique, independent retailers that we weren’t in front of,” Kruse said.

Addison + Crescent, which also maintains a New York outpost, will keep the minimalist deacute;cor and all-white color scheme of its original Hollywood home. “The clothes are the highlight,” Kruse said.—Erin Barajas
