Macy's Lundgren Elected NRF Chairman

Terry J. Lundgren, chairman and chief executive of Macy’s Inc., will add another chairman position to his reacute;sumeacute;. Lundgren was elected chairman of the board of directors for the National Retail Federation, the group announced Jan. 13.

The Washington, D.C.–based NRF is a trade organization for retailers that range from grocery stores to department stores.

Lundgren will serve as chairman for two years. Other high-profile executives elected to serve three-year terms include Daniel Lalonde, president and chief executive of Louis Vuitton North America; Marty P. Albertson, chairman and chief executive of Guitar Center Inc., based in Westlake Village, Calif.; and Laurent Milchoir, chief executive of the Etam Group of Clichy, France.

Also, two executives were elected to join the NRF’s Associate Member Advisory Council. They were John Karonis, president of KSA, a consumer group based in Princeton, N.J., and Lori Schafer, executive advisor of the retail division of Carey, N.C.–based SAS Institute.—Andrew Asch
