Calling Back Cadmium

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Tween Brands Inc., a New Albany, Ohio–based retailer, has voluntarily recalled approximately 137,000 metal children’s necklaces, bracelets and earrings that it sold at Justice and Limited Too stores between November 2008 and February 2010. The 19 different styles of jewelry named in the recall were made in China and contain high levels of cadmium, which is toxic if ingested by children. Consumers are asked to take the jewelry away from children and return it to any Justice or Limited Too store for a full refund.
