Miami Swim Week Cruise 2011: Crystal Jin at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim
Designer Crystal Jin Eley’s Cruise 2011 swimwear collection is feminine without being girly, sophisticated without being stuffy. Not a single floral print made it into the mix at her July 16 show at The Raleigh during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami Beach. Instead, rich solids in rust, mustard, black, white, gold, royal blue, pale rose and silver tones complemented tiny triangle bikinis, Grecian-inspired one-pieces, ruched bandeau suits and sporty bikinis. Prints, such as a lavender chevron print, an abstracted Missoni-style stripe and a multi-colored patchwork print, were sprinkled throughout the collection. Cover-ups ranged from a belted silver slip dress to more casual pieces such as an oversized poncho and sheer romper shorts.—Erin Barajas
