Musician Styles Volcom Fashion Show, Designs Denim

Jennifer Herrema, the musician and model known by fashion and music insiders for her heroin-chic-meets-hippie-chick looks, is lending her grunge/glam style to Volcom for a couple of projects.

On July 15, she will style the Costa Mesa, Calif.–based surf/skate brand’s Spring 2011 swimwear fashion show at the Cooper Design Space in downtown Los Angeles. Expect to see lots of eyeliner, messy locks and rocker-girl-crashes-a-pool-party styling.

Herrema, who fronts the band RTX, and Volcom also partnered on Road Tested Denim, a collection of 13 one-of-kind denim pieces and a limited-edition run of 300 handcrafted unisex jeans as well as Herrema’s own take on Volcom’s “Dep” shorts and “Colette” skinny jeans for women, which will sell at Volcom’s own stores as well as select specialty retailers.

Road Tested Denim is set to debut for the Fall/Holiday 2010 season. Retail prices for the denim will range from $64 for distressed dark-washed shorts to $255 for the handmade unisex jeans, complete with mismatched patches, contrast stitching and foxtail dangling off the waistband—a look borrowed from Herrema’s own daily style. Various styles are available in two washes.—Erin Barajas
