Sue Wong is known for her over-the-top fashion shows that highlight as many as 70 to 80 looks.

Instead of hitting the runway this season, the designer decided to open her office/studio Tuesday night to the industry crowd, where they got a close look at her highly embellished gowns, which sell at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and other high-end retailers.

The place was packed with fashion writers, TV crews, stylists, artists and apparel veterans, who could touch the ostrich feathers layered on skirts or view the intricate Battenberg lace used with many of Wong's creations.

Two bars were open for cocktails, and one room was dedicated to hors d'ouevres and sinful desserts that were a hit with those attending the event. View photos from the Fall 2010 collection at Apparelnews.net.
