Sue Wong Looks to Accessories

When you think of designer Sue Wong, you think of her luxurious beaded gowns accented with feathers that evoke the 1920s and mesmerize everyone when they come floating down the runway.

Sue is one of those people that seems to never stop creating something new. This time she has dipped her hand into the field of accessories. The Los Angeles resident has signed a deal with Acme Studio, in Maui, Hawaii, to create a small line of accessories known as the Talmadge collection, in honor of actress Norma Talmadge and Sue's love of the Roaring Twenties. The collection for men and women features art-deco-inspired pieces such as a pen, a business card holder, an eyeglass case and a mirror compact.

"I've always been inspired by the nostalgia and romance of old Hollywood, and I wanted to channel the opulence and elegance of the era in my design," Sue said.

Sue loves the 1920s so much she spent four years restoring her Los Feliz-area home, The Cedars, to its 1920s elegance and has held a few fashion shows there, to everyone's delight. Talmadge was one of the house's tenants.
