New Nordstrom Rack to Open in Orange County

If you are an avid bargain hunter, like I am, you will be happy to know that Nordstrom Rack will be opening a new store in Orange County.
While it won't be open until spring 2012, it will be a welcome sight for those of us who have shopped at the Nordstrom Rack at Metro Pointe at South Coast, across the street from South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. My experience at the Costa Mesa store is veeerrry long lines of shoppers at the checkout counters and hand-to-hand combat in the aisles, trying to peruse the rounders. Of course, that is on the most popular shopping day of the week, Saturdays.
So the new Nordstrom Rack at The Block at Orange can't pop up fast enough. It will be part of a new development on the eastern side of The Block at Orange, which is owned by Simon Property Group.
The addition of a Nordstrom Rack store, the discount arm of Nordstrom, is part of the company's plans to add more value-centered shopping spots to its line-up.
