Glendale Galleria Names New Senior G.M.

General Growth Properties named Chris Bilotto as the new senior general manager of the Glendale Galleria shopping center on Sept. 15.

Bilotto will be responsible for managing and developing the Glendale, Calif.–based mall’s leasing programs, as well as any possible expansion of the 200 million-square-foot retail center. Bilotto’s experience and vision will bring the center a competitive advantage, according to Carol Jacobs, vice president of General Growth Properties’ asset-management growth division.

“Chris comes to Glendale Galleria with talent, innovative ideas and executive management experience,” Jacobs said. “His leadership strengths unite and offer Glendale Galleria a fresh advantage in the market.”

Bilotto most recently worked as general manager at General Growth’s Arizona Center, an open-air mall in downtown Phoenix. He will be replacing Ryan Hursh, who worked as the Galleria’s general manager from 2008 to 2010. Hursh is currently property manager for Macerich Inc.’s Westside Pavilion in West Los Angeles.

The Glendale Galleria is anchored by Nordstrom, Macy’s, JC Penney and Target. Its tenant list also includes specialty boutiques Boss Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Bebe, Marc Ecko Cut & Sew, Ann Taylor and Coach.—Andrew Asch
