Textile Shows Seminars and Events Calendar

Designers and fabric buyers can get the jump on Autumn/Winter 2011 trends thanks to two full slates of trend and business seminars organized by the Los Angeles International Textile Show and GlobalTex: L.A. International Textile & Sourcing Fair.

This season, the two competing shows will be held back-to-back with two overlapping days. The L.A. Textile Show kicks off for its Sept. 27–29 run at the California Market Center and GlobalTex returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center for its Sept. 28–30 run.

The schedules include fabric and color trend forecasts for Autumn/Winter 2011, as well as several expert panels covering everything from eco fiber innovations and the state of the Korean free-trade agreement to legal issues that stand to impact the apparel industry and tips for navigating in the global economy. Fashion Business Inc. will host business seminars at both textile shows, as well as additional seminars at its resource center in the CMC.
