Shopping the Globe at The Egg and The Eye
An embroidered hemp jacket by the Miao Tribe
The Craft and Folk Art Museum, located at 5814 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, has launched an online shop at The Egg and The Eye. The shop sells a curated selection of clothing, jewelry and accessories by artists, designers and artisanal communities from around the world.
The fair trade fashions featured on the site range from hand-woven silk scarves from India to embroidered, handspun hemp jackets with intricate detailing made by the Miao Tribe in China.
Pieces also are come from a little closer to home with a textural, graphic-print tee—a collaboration between local artists Sophia Allison and Li'n Lee.
