Girls on Wheels: Defying Law Enforcement one Skirt at a Time

In May a super cute girl on a bike got pulled over and chastised by an uptight NYC cop. For wearing a skirt. And "distracting" drivers with her "dangerous" legs. Jasmijn Rijcken, a Dutch tourist in town for a bike show (true story), was just tooling around when she got hassled by the fuzz, the Daily News reported. Last night, a bunch of girls in all manner of dresses and skirts got on their bikes and took to the streets in protest. It was probably the cutest protest ever.
Blogger Joanna Goddard of A Cup of Jo wrote about the "Skirt Ride," which was organized by HUB Bikes and the New Amsterdam Bike Show. Photographer Shannen Norman shot the whole thing. Go HERE to see the full set of photos. It's like a tutorial for what to wear on wheels.
