Clique to Know: Because Waify Supermodels Aren't the Only Ones Who Enjoy Good Fashion!

The newly launched Los Angeles-based fashion website Clique to Know is hoping to create its own clique of style conscious consumers whose sizes range from 10 and up. The members-only site focuses on making it easier for women to find exciting new apparel in larger sizes, and offers end of season and excess stock at a discount of 50% to 80% off retail.

One nifty highlight of the new venture includes exclusive offers of one-off samples, with upcoming sales to include designs from Lafayette 148, Z from Zenobia and Charles David, among others. Currently, the site is hosting a sale featuring designs by Kevan Hall, Melissa Masse and IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel.

"Shopping shouldn’t be a chore!" says Melissa Ramos, a fashion industry veteran who founded Clique to Know with her mom, Patricia Durán, who had also previously worked in the apparel business. "We heard the same stories repeatedly -- about women loving fashion, but finding it difficult to shop for designer clothing if they were a size 10 or above. The average size in the U.S. is 14 and many great brands actually do make clothing in larger sizes, so we decided to create an online destination where women know they’ll find the designer labels they love in the sizes they want."

Membership is free, and future Clique to Know plans include the addition of designer accessories, lingerie and beauty products, with the goal, Ramos says, of making the site a "one-stop shop for curvy women looking for fantastic brands at fabulous, discounted prices."
