American Apparel Shifts Board
Los Angeles–based manufacturer American Apparel Inc. named David Danziger to its board of directors, following the recent departure of board members Mark Samson and Mark Thornton. Danziger will also serve on American Apparel’s Audit and Enterprise Risk Management committees. He is a partner with MSCM LLP, Chartered Accountants, a full-service audit and accounting firm.
American Apparel also named Marvin Igelman to the board, but Igelman’s appointment will not become effective until a future vacancy opens on the board, the company announced. Igelman founded and was chief executive officer of mobile-advertising company Unomobi Inc., which was acquired last year by Poynt Corp. Following the acquisition, Igelman remained with Poynt as a board member and chief strategy officer until last month.
