Princess in the City

It was truly a meet-cute moment on Sunday when Great Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—better known to royal watchers as Kate and Wills—dropped by the Inner-City Arts campus in downtown Los Angeles to get crafty with local kids.
Los Angeles childrenswear maker—and longtime Inner-City Arts supporter—Vera Campbell (owner of KWDZ) donated the screen-printed tees worn by the kids at the event, as well as screen-printed aprons for the royal couple. The two watched a dance performance, met with the kids and checked out their artwork—and even got a chance to do a little painting themselves. (It’s soo princess to wear white to paint with the kids. Good thing she had the apron--thanks, Vera!)
Founded in 1989, Inner-City Arts provides classes in the visual and performing arts to local children at the nonprofit’s state-of-the-art facility in the heart of L.A’s skid row. The one-acre campus features gardens, studios and a theater.
