Like Bringing Sand to The Beach

Festival style. Girls in oversize sunglasses and whatever BoHo trend is "it" that year: floral maxi dresses, teeny tiny cut-off shorts, Navajo everything, plaid, feathers. Don't even get me started on the dudes. Skinny jeans, plaid, board shorts are all accounted for - and sometimes really strange stuff... like that guy who shaved a perfect cross into his chest hair because he just loved Justice so much.

It's obvious festival-goers put a lot of effort into their steeze, but it looks like now they won't have to.

According to the New York Times, the Music to Know festival in New York, will fuse fashion retail and music. The festival, which will feature acts such as Vampire Weekend, Chromeo, Ra Ra Riot and M. Ward, will include pop-up shops selling cool duds alongside the stages.

Madewell, the Olsen twins and 28 other brands have signed on to hawk goods to under-dressed, sun-stroked hipsters.

According to the Times: “Smaller, more intimate festivals like this one reach a more specific customer,” Mary-Kate Olsen said. Youthful and experimental, that shopper may be receptive to “small items and kind of kitschy concepts,” Ashley said, adding that the festival would be an ideal place to test new ideas. Among their offerings will be canvas bags and graphic T-shirts from Elizabeth and James and StyleMint, the Olsens’ by-invitation online store.

I think it's a good idea. But I think it would be a major bummer to run into someone wearing the exact same outfit because you both shopped the same pop-up. Awkwaaaaaaaard!
